Lead Reverse Engineering & Digital Parts Engineer

Digitalization Parts Company (DPC)

Abu Dhabi, UAE Full-time

DPC transforms physical spare-parts inventories into AI-powered digital warehouses using 3D scanning, reverse engineering, Digital Part Passports, engineering data, and intelligent part classification.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Lead end-to-end reverse engineering programs for critical industrial spare parts.
  • 2. Define technical workflows from part intake through validated digital output.
  • 3. Oversee 3D scan planning, capture quality, and mesh conditioning standards.
  • 4. Develop accurate CAD models and detailed engineering drawings for manufacture.
  • 5. Verify dimensional integrity, GD&T compliance, and tolerance decisions.
  • 6. Coordinate with manufacturing teams on process suitability and readiness gates.
  • 7. Build Digital Part Passport content with traceable engineering evidence.
  • 8. Drive AI classification inputs through structured metadata and taxonomy control.
  • 9. Mentor engineers and reviewers to maintain quality, speed, and documentation rigor.
  • 10. Engage clients and internal stakeholders with clear technical reporting and risk flags.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience in reverse engineering and industrial part digitization.
  • Strong command of reverse engineering methods and advanced 3D CAD modeling.
  • Proven capability in 3D scanning workflows, mesh cleanup, and geometry reconstruction.
  • Solid GD&T application and tolerance analysis for manufacturing-ready deliverables.
  • Practical manufacturing knowledge across machining, fabrication, and quality control.
  • Clear communication, structured documentation, and stakeholder-facing presentation skills.

Preferred software: Geomagic Design X / Control X, PolyWorks, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, and Fusion 360 or equivalent.

Advantage: Experience with additive manufacturing, Digital Part Passports, AI-assisted engineering, industrial spare-parts management, or Industry 4.0 programs.
